It is still listed as a "Hotel lost in History" on famoushotels.org: The Hotel National (1875), Montreux. The lights went out 20 years ago when the hotel owners decided to close it down, and there is still no power. Three modern apartment blocks will finance the grand hotel's revival. Hopefully!
