A graduate of the Lausanne Hotel School, Switzerland, he joined the group in 1981, enjoying senior roles in the Hong Kong and Bangkok hotel operations, as well as within the corporate office. He was appointed General Manager of The Peninsula Hong Kong in 1994, taking on additional regional responsibility in 1999, and culminating in his appointment as chief operating officer, The Peninsula Hotels, in April 2004.
