From the stand alone copper bathtubs which assist with dissolving toxins in water, to the 100-year old wooden tables that have been treated with oils. Ayurveda is the ancient art of complete wellbeing, conceived in Kerala, South India, thousands of years ago. Its name is a combination of the Sanskrit words “life” and “knowledge” and is translated to mean “the science of life”. The essence of Ayurveda is based on healthy living and a harmonious existence of mind, body, soul and spirit, and all Ayurvedic philosophies and techniques are designed with this aim in mind. Ayurvedic principles focus on the fact that all materials of vegetable, animal and mineral origin have healing value, and all of the Ayurvedic treatments available at The Oriental Ayurvedic Penthouse are made from herb mixtures and plant based products from Thailand and India.
