Hans R. Amrein

Swiss Hans R. Amrein is publisher and editor in chief of hotelinside.ch. He has been a publicist and journalist for many years. After studying music in Bern and London, the Lucerne native worked for many years as a correspondent and reporter at home and abroad, and over the past two decades he has served as magazine project developer and editor-in-chief for publishing houses in Switzerland and Germany. Amrein was, among other roles, a correspondent at the Federal Palace in Bern, in Asia, and in London. He also worked as an editor and presenter for radio.

From 2009 until early 2022, he was editor-in-chief of the trade journal HOTELIER. In addition, he reviews hotels and works as an author and lecturer. His main focus as a lecturer is the strategic positioning of hospitality businesses, while he also gives lectures and seminars on “hotel trends” and “hotel history.”

Amrein is also a member of various expert juries, including Hotelier of the Year and the Hotel Innovations Award.
