History Hessischer Hof
1961 facades differ from our legendary oldtimers, such as the Frankfurter Hof.

Hessischer Hof

For long the history loaded famous Hotel Frankfurter Hof dominated our listing in the metropolis at the Main River.
Now there is a small but elegant rival. The Hotel Hessischer Hof is the only privately run five star property in Frankfurt. If it were for the exterior, you‘d probably would miss it. It is a functional design, to put it mildly. But once you enter you are engulfed by a cosy friendly atmosphere and an over attentive staff. The interior is equipped with antiques of the collection of the Landgraves and Princes of Hesse, in particular a fine porcelaine collection on shelves covering the walls of one of the dining rooms.
Visiting its Jimmy’s Bar and speaking to Andrès Amador, bar chef since 30 years, is an experience. The guest list of the house includes celebrities such as Helmut Kohl, Nelson Mandela, Horst Köhler, Mick Jagger and consorts.
The Hessischer Hof is a new member hotel and we will have to wait how it performs in the league of the most famous hotels in the world. As a new Select Member it has six months to submit its completed history and a detailed timeline.
