The gardens of the People's Grand Hotel in Xi'an, China, are home to over 10,000 plants representing over 70 different species.

♥ The most prominent and valuable inhabitant of the gardens is certainly the Crape Myrtle tree next to the tea pavilion in the gardens. It is marked with a plate, which says that it is an estimated 1,200 years old. The oldes tree in the gardens: 1200 years!

♥ In front of the Renmin Square Grand Mercure stands a row of olive trees. Their seeds were brought to China by Premier Zhou Enlai from a state visit to Albania.
