In a city packed full to the rafters with top class historic hotels, it can be hard to stand out. The George V manages the trick, however. Since it was bought by Saudi Prince Al Waleed and subsequently revamped, it has earned a reputation as one of the finest hotels in Paris, and even the world. It also has an interesting history, having notably housed General Eisenhower during the liberation of Paris.
