Sometimes the concierge is even more famous than his clientele. Before Walter Ferrari retired he has told us his story.
With Villa La Cupola the Excelsior built one of the most remarkable
suites in the world. The dome and all walls have wonderful frescoes,
painted by artists. For New Year's eve 1999/2000 the rate rose to
US$10,000 per night (today 20,000).
