Sacher Torte (cake) is Hospitality Industry Bestseller! - Shops at Hotels (1)

Hotels have long started to sell their most desirable objects. They do sell successfully books about their own history, embroidered bathrobes and umbrellas. The Savoy in London sells its 12 inch diameter shower heads. In its on-line shop The Peabody in Memphis offers mattresses, down pillows and duck shaped golf club covers, bath gel, lotions and shampoos. The Hotel Sacher in Vienna, Austria, has a splendid on-line shop with its famous "Torte" (a chocolate cake) as the greatest seller in hospitality industry: on a typical day 300-600 cakes are produced, during festive season the number reaches 3,000! The cakes are shipped in little wooden boxes all over the globe.
