ANNA SACHER: L'HOTEL - C'EST MOI!

Since 1832 the Viennes Sacher Torte is the most famous cake in the world. It was invented at the kitchen of the mighty chancellor Metternich. The name of the young kitchen apprentice was Sacher. Franz Sacher. His Sacher Torte is one of the culinary ambassadors of Austria.
The hotel Sacher opened its doors in 1876 under the management of Eduard Sacher, the son of Franz. But it was his wife Anna who became the most legendary female hotelier in history. After Eduard's death in 1892, she took over and reigned the hotel and ist various outlets with remarkable style.
