The Goring - behind Buckinham Palace - immediately captured my attention. The Goring is the only family owned and run 5* deluxe hotel in London.
It is small and intimate. The doorman welcomes you in an almost personal way. The receiving reception / concierge / front office staff shows a higher level of competence than at other hotels. And Mr Goring himself tells us the history of his hotel.
